Visitor Report(s)31 May 2005 We came to this site for a family bank holiday weekend break, the sun was shining, the mood was good - but, the site is absolutely terrible. Toilet block was neglected and very dirty, no apparent cleaning being done at all, showers were dirty and far too hot - no good for kids at all. The swimming pool was dirty and full of debris, pond-life springs to mind !. The bar area was run down and neglected, if you're a kid of the eighties then you know what kind of games to expect in the games room. Say no more !!!

9 August 2005 Apalling facilities! Filthy dirty facilities. Sick outside men's toilets for our whole stay. Rubbish piled up beside washing up area, and not collected. Useless washing-up facilities. Showers looked like they were a health risk! Broken glass and protruding nails on shabby, rusty kids' play area. Grimey and smelly games room. Bar looked just as uninviting. Disinterested members of staff. Freezing swimming pool. With substantial investment, this site could be transformed into a wonderful site, but it is shabby, dirty and run-down. The location itself is fabulous - beautiful views, and close to Alton Towers, but if this had been my first camping experience it would have put me off camping for good!

27 August 2006 Site awful. Dirty unkept showers - I would rather smell than use them. What a health risk. We stayed 2 nights could not wait to leave.
